Lightroom Classic gives you all the desktop editing tools you need to bring out the best in your photos. This update is highly touted by the folks at Adobe, who call the enhancements to Profiles “massive,” so be sure and take a look. Meet the photo editing app that’s optimized for desktop. In the video below, image-editing maven Anthony Morganti provides an overview of yesterday’s Lightroom Classic CC update, and he takes a detailed look at what he considers three very important new features. This allows you to have space available and work on the photos important to you, even if there is not enough room on your hard drive for all of your photos.
The entire Lightroom Cloud ecosystem has also been updated. Lightroom now intelligently manages your photos for you, so that your photos don’t fill up your hard drive space. There are some exciting enhancements, along with bug fixes, and new lens support. The expanded capabilities in Profiles include six new Adobe Raw profiles, 40 new Creative profiles, and a new Profile Browser that enables users to quickly compare and select the best profile for a specific image. Lightroom Classic 12.3 has been released today. One significant component of the new 7.3 release is the robust update to Camera Profiles, now just called Profiles.
If Adobe keeps up this pace, the Lightroom CC tools will become much more powerful very quickly.Yesterday Adobe released a substantial update to Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC (Version 7.3), with new tools, enhancements for mobile devices, an expanded Curves panel, optimized face-tagging algorithms for more accurate detection, and much more. It’s nice to see Adobe adding a flow of features so early in the evolution of the product, especially considering many photographers noted that the new Lightroom CC was far short of the Lightroom Classic CC app in terms of features.

The updates (listed below in the Adobe blog post) feature an enhancement of the Lightroom CC suite’s use of the company’s AI and machine learning tool, Adobe Sensei. Just a few short months after Adobe overhauled their Lightroom “ecosystem” with the launch of a new Lightroom CC and the transition of the traditional Lightroom to the name Lightroom Classic, Adobe has just announced a stream of updates for Lightroom on desktop, iOS and Android and for Lightroom Classic.
